The press conference of Miss Malaysia International 2012 was successfully held at The Prince Hotel & Residences Kuala Lumpur on 18^th of September 2012. The event is chaired by the National producer & director of Miss Malaysia International 2012 and 2013, Mr Lee Fukada, Chairman and Malaysia Marketing Director of ERM Marketing Sdn Bhd, Mr Alex Liu and Mr Sean Chia. Also it was witnessed by the General Manager of Prince Hotel & Residences Kuala Lumpur, Mr Tim Quarm.

 Miss International is a world class pageant similar to Miss World and Miss Universe. The differences between Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International are the history and the country organising the beauty pageant. Miss Universe emphasize more on the outer beauty of woman, Miss World originated from Great Britain repositioned themselves with the slogan “beauty with purpose” set beauty and personality as their main criteria. Miss International’s main organisers are Japanese supported by the Tourism Japan aimed to select ambassador who can display benevolence, friendship, beauty, intelligence, showing sense of tenderness and a great international sensibility. Miss International Beauty Pageant spans around half a century of the passion and energy of delegates from around the world who have sought to contribute to global society.

In the Press Conference, the top 5 winners were introduced and crowned. The winner Teng Mei Xian is currently a part time model and student, she will be representing Malaysia to Okinawa Japan for the Grand Final of Miss International World 2012 on the 21^st of October 2012.  “It’s my honor and I’m proud to be the winner of Miss Malaysia International 2012 and to represent my country to compete with others contestants in Japan. As a representative of Malaysia I’ll try my best to promote the uniqueness of Malaysian such as culture, tourism and local gourmet to the World” said Ms. Teng.
